  2018 and the state is still playing a waiting game for this 370sq mile sea. It's sad condition is man made, it's neglect is intentional, the concern for its residents is mostly ignored. What used to be a multimillion dollar commerce and tourism engine was run into the ground. I gave it 5 stars because a visit is a teaching moment. Here you can see the folly of neglect first hand, here you can see the pain of loss, here you can wonder how so much, has been destroyed, by so few, and yet in the midst of all this there is hope. Since 2011 the ecomedia compass has struggled to bring awareness of the sea, it's condition, and shine a spotlight on this forgotten jewel that now is becoming the next ecological disaster. We'll worth the drive.
